seems there is alot of talk about recovery vehicles (chris) so here is a pic of the best ive found this is my brothers

it was his atlm but as ive stated before cub cadets suck in the mud

if you try to recover a mower with a lighter mower its a fun game of sit and spin or you blow a belt or you get the jist things just break so the cub being a friggin tank 900 pounds i think has worked great since we put a winch on it so it can recover without going in the mud then drag you home you will see from the pic the front axle is welded steel plate and tube with trailer spindles all others have failed also i have some pics of some minnesota mud we have been playing in

my neighbor decided he was going to drive his tractor through it and i really mean tractor (IH 1566) and buried it to the axle if not for the loader  i would have owned a new lawn ornament

I had a whole thread with lots of ideas and designs and a bunch of stuff about my recovery mower build, but it got deleted with 80% of the ATLM sections on Mowbetter that time. My design was an older mower transformed into an ultimate off-road machine. It was a tandem axle 6 wheel drive beast, complete with front and rear winch, emergency lights, ultra heavy duty front and rear bumpers, towing boom and utility bed.

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

IT SUCKS IN THE MUD BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT AND THE GEARING WOULD BE A HUGE UNDERTAKING ITS DIRECT DRIVE (NO BELTS) PULLS THE HELL OUT OF STUMPS UNTIL YOU FIND YOURSELF LAYING ON YOUR BACK
