I doubt it. It also depends if your state forest requires a tag and title. I know in PA they require all ATVs to get a liscense plate.

You can ride it on any fourwheeler trail that is open to the public. Most states require registration for atv and I don't know if they would let you register a tractor. If they don't let you register your tractor just ride the trails anyway.

Wrong. Thats a good way to get the ATLMA a bad reputation, not to mention thats kind of illegal?

I think insurance would be a major factor in a state allowing mowers on trails... ATV's have to be insured and registered. In most states registration's a slap on the wrist if it's out of date, a small fine and a renewal. Not having insurance, that's a whole different kind of animal. Much bigger fines, and some will take the machine away on the spot.

Insurance?? You don't have to have atv insurance to ride your atv on the trails. And if you brake any laws on the trails you get 1 warning, than a fine, than they take your machine and keep it for good.ut most cops don't care what you do on the trails. As long as you don't have gamewardwns on your trails your all set.

What state? NY (and most others) mandate insurance, first offence with no other issues is a minimum 250 dollar fine. That would be for riding on anything other than private property.

I know ohio doesnt requrie insurance on atvs, and my old quad (quadsport 230) because they didnt issue titles for atvs then, but I rode it legally on the trails, I figure most state trails around here lack the technical challenge that makes them fun anyways, but I was just curious to find out the legal side of it. btw does anyone know of a good way to put 10 inch wheels on a garden tractor?

All the bickering....
You have to check with your local and state laws. As the ATLMA is not associated with any law enforcement personnel/agencies - we can not give you the proper advise. I urge you to check with your local/state PD and/or town offices before attempting to ride on property that is not owned by yourself.

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.
