in the rules it states no atv coversions what exactly does this mean or to what extent i would think atv suspension added to a lawn mower frame would be ok

What we dont want, is someone taking an ATV or quad, slapping some mower sheet metal on it, and calling it an ATLM. In the rules it states "Must used a commercially produced machine originally manufactured for noncommercial lawn-mowing."

did you see the pic that is a dynamark frame i chopped the wheeler and added the suspension to the dynamark frame (that motor will not be the one im using its a bike engine don has a 16 twin he is working on for me)

can you "conseal" most of the suspension with the mower sheetmetal? and discreetly cut them for clearance?

as is nope but if that is what is required a little ccr (chop cut rebuild) will make it concealable

Taking a lawnmower frame and adding suspension from an ATV I see no problem with (and is what I plan on doing to my Wizard). What we don't want is someone taking an ATV and slapping some mower sheet metal on it.

i would love to see a more concrete rule here so i think it would be a good idea to lock this topic until you and chris have time to discuss it and give me some direction but for the record i think chris has a point with using premade atv parts and doing it discretely maybe this should be a poll but i dont think you have enough people here for that yet so maybe randy would let you guys poll it on heymow then you would be sure to get the best response confused

does this mean you couldn't use the suspension and axle welded to the frame, but have it running thru, say , a 700?

I'd think that kinda setup wouldn't be bad, as long as the majority of the frame is mower and the axle mounted dern near stock placement.
