Hi folks, I joined this board to hopefully get some info and help with my project.
A little background on myself.  I am an electro-mechanical technician, my favorite hobbies are old cars namley Pontiacs.  I am building a 78 Trans Am Fire Am for SCCA racing.
Recently the kids got me into Power Wheels and after modding a few I have decided to build a gas powered Power Wheels.
Here's where the fun begins, I have a Silverado PW, which is one of the biggest made, and an old Craftsman 10HP rider.  I am going to build a custom frame and use as many of the parts from the rider as I can to build my monster PW Silverado.  I plan on using an avt/tractor 4' plow on the front to make this thing halfway useful as well.  Nothing cooler than a gas powered 1/4 scale plow truck.  Anyhow, I'm sure I'll have questions along the way.  Luckily for my my brother went to Ohio auto Deisel for small engine and marine so parts, tools, and advice is usually not too far away.
Once I have passed my "probation period" here I'll start a build thread here and on modified power wheels.

Hey, welcome to the forum! Sounds like you have a really cool project planned out.

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.
