Anyone ever consider doing this? I went to my girlfriend's house last night and took one of my mowers to try this out on. I have a pair of vintage snowmobile skis that I'll be adapting to mount in place of the front wheels. I'm going to fabricate some sort of track system for the rear out of some snowmobile tracks.

I'm going to be doing something similar to this:

I've thought about it. It would bea easy to do with a coule of old sled tracks and runners.

Make sure when you mount those front skis, that you allow them to pivot up and down to give a better ride.

Yeah, if they didn't pivot it would cause serious problems. I'm alsu using old skis that have the monoleaf and shock attached

Hell, I haven't even attempted the skis. They're still sitting in the same spot since the first day I got them over a year ago.

For that matter, the only mower I own that moves under it's own power is my grasscutter.
