Whats up? 18.m.va here. Definitely a computer guy, been using computers since I was 11, built my first one when I was 15. Just trying to take what I know about computers and merge it with ATVS and lawnmowers. There's not much I can do with them without spending too much money. So im just trying to keep it simple and fun. Been thinking about doing some small stuff to my lawnmower. I haven't started anything, but ill let you know when i do.

Welcome to the forum

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

well, unfortunately we are still a growing forum, in a very niche hobby... it probably doesn't help that the owner Chris is busy as heck right now, and I'm still adjusting to being a father, on top of all that, a down economy means less people have money to play with, so less activity.... complicated times for all of us. bear with us, we are still here!

Yeah. Its probably the fact that when I am viewing old threads on this forum and reading what people say I didn't really pay attention to the time frames. Days and days sometimes for a response. Looks very active when your reading post after post.

I finally picked up a lawnmower frame, I guess this will be the best place to start and build around it. Its a new(but old) mtd style I think its called a yard machine. I was wondering whats going to be the best drive, a belt or a chain. I would like it to be just a direct drive with no additional pulleys just to keep it simple. (I took all the mower deck junk off) Bored with my troy bilt.

What's wrong with the troy-bilt? It looks in better shape then the MTD, at least it has wheels. LOL

Lol, look at my other thread in project builds. Its got tires on it now. I don't like the troybilt as much as the older mtd style.
