Hey Guys,   Your day had to be better than this,

I started the day out by  loading - up my ATV  with the needed tools for clearing trail.      I got the rest of the trail cleared  that remained which was about 35 - to 50 yards of scrub brush so thick that you couldn't fall down if you had to.   [ There were times  I gave THAT  some thought.   bigsmile ]      When  I work- - - - I really go at  it.    bigsmile

Afterwards- - - -  I  asked my neighbor's wife if she wanted to "see" the trail.      She and her teenage  daughter  went for it but NOW  I wished they didn't.    bigsmile         While driving  down the mountain to get them- - - - my  ATV ran out of gas.  omg          I  forgot to turn the gas on.    After I  got my neighbor's wife on the back seat  - - - her girl followed with her ATV.       So back up the mountain we went.     My ATV just didn't seem to have the  " get - up - and - go ".         Well we made it down the new cleared trail all the way to the lake.  About 3/4 mile through the forest.

Then the problems really started.       Coming back up the mountain from the lake - - - - the  ATV kept stalling - out.     After several tries - - - my friend got off my ATV - - - and I  wound-up the engine and jumped the clutch and  I really flew up that mountain.      BUT - - - - I  smelled brake linings burning   omg

I  still had the front brakes on and locked.      Then  I  noticed that the choke was on almost all the way.     bigsmile

Since early morning  I choked the  ATV and because my clearing in the morning  I  left the choke on .  While coming up the mountain from the lake and the ATV stalled on me - - - - to prevent it from drifting back - - - I  forgot to take the hand brake off.      Re-read this careful - - - - I  did everything wrong  - - - it's a wonder that the ATV even moved let alone go up the mountain. bigsmile

I keep asking myself if  I  was just tired or really reverting back to being a CAVEMAN    bigsmile

            Have a good one - - - - - - norman

Ouch Norman, sounds like a hard day. We have all had those days though,  when every has just gone wrong.

It happens to me a lot . . .

Hey Phil - - - - here's  wishing that your day goes well for you,

I take it all with a grain of salt.      My friend's teenage girl  seldom laughs much - - - sorta the quiet type.     However, - - - she got to laughing so much that  I  just may pull a few more of  "them" stunts. bigsmile          It was good to see her laugh - - - - WE ALL had a blast.         That was fun.    bigsmile

I'm still trying to send pictures but still not approved.   YOU GUYS ARE SO  LUCKY NOT TO BE BORED WITH WHAT  I  DO TO PICTURES.     bigsmile    bigsmile

Just a thought  - - - - hope Chris is  ok  ?        Take care,                Norman

Hey  ryf,  here's wishing that your day goes well for you,

Naw- - - - - -  I seldom hurt myself - - - get "torn-up" now and then but  I bounce pretty good.       [All bone and grit] bigsmile    I sure wish Chris lived near me so  I could  "give a hand".      But he'll make out OK.       Not many on the forums these days other than you and Phil.    Must be the "off season"   I suppose many are having hard times making ends meet.    Hope that changes soon.

Yesterday  I marked out a new trail through the forest with flagging tape.    it's a little less than 1/2 mile but it will connect up with the other trail  which is about 3/4 mile to the lake.   This will give me about 1  1/4 miles without much backtracking.      Already got another trail figured out.      I'll start it when this one is done.        It will  connect up with a forest service road which is 3 miles plus one way.       All of these trails start at my driveway.        I  have   other trails within a few minuets  that  are much longer     [  I really count my blessings]

Right now my neighbor is busy running his hounds after bear  and wild hogs so I keep busy cutting new trails.       Anyway  Guys - - - Just wanted to stay in touch and keep the forum active.

Perhaps when Chris gets  settled - - -  I'll  get  approved to send pictures,    In the meantime  I 'll  keep piling them up to bore you guys . bigsmile

Always wishing that you guys have a nice day,                          Norman

Hey Guys,     Just wish to say  "Hi "    and hope your  day went well for you..

About all I've done today is clear trail  - - - - Got about 1/2 of that new trail cleared.   Tomorrow  I'm thinking about making an anchor for my ATV.         My neighbor said that there are some people that would steal an ATV at night.      That's really dumb.    I think I will drive a short  "T" post flush to the ground  with a small  "logging chain "  attached .       Then  I can chain the  ATV to the  "ground".      That way  I can  "run over it" with the car or anything else.      Just thought I would mention it for others that wouldn't know how to protect their mower or ATV .        Use a bicycle locking  chain  or a small logging chain so a  "bolt cutter " can't cut it.      I think they will break a bolt cutter.          My   ATV   and  mowers   stays out in the weather covered with  tarps   as probably   many of yours.      [  Just a thought ]   smile

      Come - on guys  -  - - - lets keep the forum alive while Chris  gets settled .   Put in anything like I'm doing.         bigsmile          I  know   you " THINK" what I put in is boring - - -  - - -   - - -- - - BUT - - -- - - - - - wait until you see what  I  do to pictures        bigsmile         Then you can groan             bigsmile

Hey Guys - - - - always wishing that  your day has gone well for you..

      Have  a good one    -  - - - - --     Norman

Norman - I wish I lived close to you, I love cutting new trials! I'm sure we could have a blast cutting trials and exploring.

I've had days like yours before, I bet we've all had. I'm not too sure if you ever read up on my Wizard "Incident" a few years back. That was something else!

I also approved your account for the image uploader, I forgot I changed it to Admin approval. You're all set to use it.
