I bought a $60 charcoal smoker about 3 weeks ago, converted it to propane, and today turned out some fantastic bbq ribs this morning.. they are falling off the bone fantastic, the only thing wrong is, I think I need a bigger grill already!

the smoker and mods

sorry I've been keeping quiet, having a son really kills your free time. on the good side, I'll have someone to mow my lawn in like 10 years! hahaha

Good Morning'  I like the way you think'

Ten years is just about long enough for you to get help in other areas also,  such as working on mowers.    Extra hands are always welcome   and "they" always bring new ideas.

Them  "ribs " sure look good.    bigsmile

With the price of gas today - - - - have you ever considered doing a  "conversion" from gas to propane for your mower  question

      Keep a smile and have a good one,    - - - -      Norman

That's cool! I'd live to convert my truck to propane. It's hard justifying using that thing to go anywhere at 5MPG :(

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

hmnm... $25 adjustable 0-25 psi regulator, no pump, new jetable carb, and I'd have an interesting buggy... it CAN be done, I've seen people who run cars on those forklift tanks. neat idea, I'll have to research.

Hi ryf,      Hope your day went well for you.

I  also have been giving  "that" a lot of thought.      Would there really be a money savings ? ? ?       Would it be  "REAL"  difficult to switch from gas to propane  ? ? ?           Please don't give up on that research.         Very  Interesting.

       Have a good one,                        Norman

I've got a spare 20 horsepower 2 cylinder verticle that needs a job, I wanted to make it a generator, why not a propane powered generator... whats a little more fun for the work!
