So, i was given a zero turn dixon mower. Everything work just fine, even the lights, but it has no deck (not a big deal to me of course). Me and my buddies have been just riding it around the yard, messing around.

Looking at the setup on the wheels, i can make it go much faster, as it is chain drven to each wheel. The problem i see with it will be torque, as it doesnt have a whole lot stock. It is a 13 or 13.5 hp briggs, so i know the engine has the power. The torque loss has to be in the clutch setup.

I need to make new controll bars for it, as theyre far too uncomforitable. I was trying to think of something i could do to it as am ATLM. Tire swaps and on "axle" brakes will be very easy with it. I think a roll bar would be nessesary as the front end it very light. I will need to make taller spindles or casters for the front to keep the front end from sinking.

This is all just one big idea. I might try it, i might not. Thought i would put the idea out there for everyone and see what comes up.

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

I cant find a deck for it. Not even on ebay.

We are filling in a large dip in our yard with dirt, so i fired up the Dixon and my 110 three wheeler to drive over it and flatten out the large mounds. The dixon did rather well, i was very suprised.
