      Hey Guys,

Has anyone given any thought to making a spark arrestor that the "Forest Service"   would approve ?  Would it or could it be legal ?     If not legal - - -  what would it take to prove it both effective and legal ?

After some Internet study on spark arrestors - - - it appears that it is only a metal screen or two inside the muffler.  I've even read someplace that some mufflers have them built into them as well as some ATVs.

Your thoughts on this  ?        Have a good one.      caveman  [Norman]

I'm not sure how you would go about getting it approved, but *most* mower and ATV exhausts are.

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

Hey Guys,    THAT would be hard to get it approved.      Hey Chris - - - very interesting - - -  the spark arrestor built into  some  mufflers.     It would be nice if the makers would state if they do or not.   That would be a real job and expensive changing the muffler.    Appreciate the input.       Norman
