Hey everyone,
Well when I first found this forum I knew I had found my new home.  It seemed like when I started putting together lawn-mower races in my backyard a couple of years ago the sport was still undeniabley dominated by Rednecks (this is a good thing).  I started posting over on HeyMow.com's forum and was banned within the first week for asking "stupid questions" and not having the time/resources to build an all out Indy-Car style race mower that totally defeats the purpose of racing lawnmowers all together (at least to me).  ***note: lawn mower racing originated in England as an alternative to the high price of automobile racing***  For some strange reason they asked me to come back about a month ago, and I'm glad they did.  It put me in touch with Chris (ATLMA's boards administrator) which was a good thing, since it turns out he's only about 45 minutes away from me.
Long story short, he was over to my house last night and we had a chance to tinker with a mower my neighbor just donated.  It was refreshing to see that the guy behind this website was still just a guy, and didnt think he was the great and powerfull OZ like people I've met on other lawnmower racing forums.....

Thanks for the great site, and keep up the good work.

BTW: Somebody ask Chris what he did on the 4th

OH MY GOD THE 4TH OF JULY WAS *fiddle*ING EPIC!!!!!

Thank you again so much Chris, you're *fiddle*ing awesome - seriously.

I also gave you free donator status here on the forums - so you can access special areas non-donating members cant. Again, Friday was *fiddle*ing AWESOME my friend & I had a *fiddle*ing blast!!! He couldn't thank me enough for bringing him, and I myself haven't had that much fun in years!!

I should probably post a few pictures in the off-topic. The picture of you riding the mower half in the bucket tractor was priceless! lol

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

Glad you had a good time bud, and thanks for the member status.
