Do it, you'll never look back!

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

Hey Chris, I have a question-
How is your tranny setup, is it pulleys? My snapper has like a friction disc or something of the sort, and was wondering how yours is set up! Thanks, Sean.
PS looks like fun!

The friction disk type setup are junk. And Chris's setup goes like this...motor to trans is belt and trans to axle is chain.

Check the first post, I never realized I was missing some pictures and information. That's how it basically looks like, but the pulley on the front matched the one on the trans. It wasn't enough though, and my new setup is two 6/12" double-groove pulleys.

so is that a pulley that has room for 2 belts on the same one?

yes, it has 2 pulleys on the same setup, one just above the other. I believe this is an attempt to get rid of the slippage problem he has when the belt gets wet

OH MY GAWD AN UPDATE!!!!!! Seriously, I actually did some work to this thing. I had some extra POR-15 left over from my truck, so I put a few coats on the bumpers, aux tank holders and a couple of problem areas.... Only thing that I don't like is it's gloss black, so I'll have to go over it with some flat black in the future. Now I just need to get myself some wheels, and I can actively re-start the build.

I might, my truck is nearing it's restoration completion, so there isn't too much left to do on it other than lift it and put some nice meaty tires on I *think* I purchased all the parts I could possibly need for the Toro. I need to get myself a cheap set of wheels for the rear and then I can start work on it again.

uh-oh... Looks like I've been bitten by the update bug.... Got the pulley on the 700 mounted and the other is kinda mocked up: You can see the spacer I had to stick in there for it to fit properly: I think I need to POR-15 my axle, that thing got REALLY rusty!
