Yeah, I paid $80 for mine... I got the little one too.. I was a very unhappy person when i noticed the knocked the price down a few days later!!! They're been on sale for like a year now lol

I've only used mine once to torque the heads on my opposed twin. The problem with these torque wrenches is the silver lettering wears off VERY easily. Mine is almost completely gone, and again I only used it once. The problem with that is as soon as that silver lettering is gone there is no way to accurately set them. A good torque wrnech, but the lttering is a big design flaw IMO.

An no fair, I didn't get a cool holder either!!! Man I got ripped off :(

Yeah I noticed the lettering problem too... Mines not wearing away but it will eventually.. But Chris you need to make you a foam case man!!  bigsmile to protect your lettering.. Thats the one main reason for it disapear is the wrench weathering if you put it in someting it shouldnt weather...

P.S~~ Chris are you sure your not getting old!!  lol bigsmile lol

I have it in it's original package thing that it came in - just stuffed in my toolbox... I'll have to take a picture. I need to find my ban picture... A while back someone on Heymow was talking about the theoretical banstick... I said something about a ban wrench to beat BYB's with and had a picture of my torque wrench...

spray it with automotive clear coat after a wiping LIGHTLY one pass with alchy prep pad (too much rubbing = bad)

any tool with painted on numbers I spray this way.

craftsman makes good stuff, don't forget K-mart now sells Craftsman tools, so look there too (even if online) before buying like a wrench kit or etc. just a thought to save you guys some dimes on decent tools. I have two sets of craftsman kits, one big set in my rolling tool box and one 150 piece set with my travel box (goes to junkyard wth me)

gotta tell you though, I keep 2 sets of harbor freight/ big lots cheapo wrenches (box ends and ratchets) to loan out to friends since they are nearby AND they aren't expensive to replace them when you're friends do what they do.... (leave them in woods, drop them in streams, loose pieces)

sometimes its cheaper to buy a new kit than to buy 1 wrench at sears.  also good to keep some around if you need to "customize" a wrench (cut it up/bend it to fit in a tight spot)

K-Mart sells Craftsman? I haven't been to a K-Mart in about 8 years - there anren't any around here. Every time I go to sears I walk away with more tools and less money. Just last weekend I went and bought the largest air compressor they had in the store and a bunch of air tools... I stupidly forgot to buy impact sockets though - doh! doh

All my trail/loaner tools are Master Mechanic. Decent tools w/ a lifetime warranty that are cheaper than craftsman so I don't feel bad when I use my 3/8 ratchet as a hammer
