According to the great state of VT, our mowers can be classified as ATVs.

I'm trying to find the legality of on-road riding... I know it's legal in NY, but not sure about what other states... Google is not my friend in this search.

Atv access routes are the only places you can ride on the road in most states. But in southern virginia in a few towns they allow you to ride your atvs around town.

I know here in Indiana and Illinois, you can register your ATV for secondary road use. Basically meaning its legal to ride on any side roads, paved or not.

Yes gentlemen, but in NY you can legally ride your LAWNMOWERS on the road.

We do have lawnmowers, don't we? They're just "slightly modified"! lol

here in MO ATV can only use roads if they are being used for agricultural use. And you must put a 6' fibreglass pole w/ dayglo flag(like sandrails) and the slow vehicle triangle placard.
