This is where I am at in the mock-up stages of my build. The reason why I put it here is because I want to tell you about my test ride. doh During test sessions we all seem to shurk the rules slightly. My brakes did not work(stock). The clutch would not fully release........NO KILL SWITCH.The 1:1 pulleys seemed to propel me to 100 miles an hour.I couldn't get it into neutral because no clutch had everything bound up. I had to throttle down as low as it would go and start it up a hill in high gear to kill the blasted thing. Luckily I have a big front yard.I was circling like a jetliner trying to figure out what to do! Next time my testing will be done on a set of jack stands. lol

I wouldnt put this in the Hall of Shame just because of one time, we all do the dumb stuff first, unfortunatly its the best way to learn.

Oh yes. Like the steering wheel falling off my Wizard at 50MPH in mid-air.

I learned my lesson that day.

Still have a long way to go. I put it in the hall of shame just as a warning to others "what not to do". I plan on doing a full write up of the build whenever I am near finishing. I want to do it all at once so maybe it won't seem to stall or stagnate to everybody else, not much time to spend on it right now though. I guess it is coming along. Not bad for getting only a frame and rearend to start with. smile No frontend, seat, motor, pulleys, or floorboards. I can't think of a name though.......

The name will come with the mower as you work on it more and more.

Have any of you ever seen this before? It looks like a housing failure. It never quit pulling. Any ideas?    Tom

Have you checked any of the teeth on the bull gear? The bull gear may have had a week tooth and came off.

Seems my Wizard "build" never made it over here... I'd show you some transaxle failure!
