Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

the reason the letter oughta be on the number plate, is so if you change classes, you don't have to repaint the whole hood to look professional, I'm thinking this is going on a registration sheet and maybe "vin" style plate somewhere agreed upon, I don't think it needs to go on the hood either.

has anyone decided anything about the (to be determined) items
· Tech approved muffler (no louder than [to be determined] decibels)
· Upgraded on-axle brakes that will hold the mower on an [to be determined] in/decline
Just wondering

Not yet, I need to get a decibel meter to measure an acceptable range. And as for the in/decline I don't have a mower that's currently in one piece to test the angle either.

As for the muffler level, i know my air horns are 135 DB, and i find them loud, but handable. With that said, if we can get our hands on a DB level meter to measure these ranges at will, so be it, but until then i think we should just require an approved spark arrestor (which is basically any ATV muffler).

Yea, and as long as theres a spark arrestor on it, we wont have to worry about the fire issue.
