welcome to the forum

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.

with the limited class, money shouldnt be too big a of a problem, although you "can" spend a good chunk if you really wanted to.

I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

The transaxle's a Foote, looks to be a #4010 As far as the motor mounts, I'd try the local small engine repair place, or maybe even the Sears parts dept. Go to http://www3.sears.com/ and enter the tractor's model # and give it a shot.

Call a local mower shop with that craftmans serial and model number, you should be able to order the motor mounts from them. That transaxle looks like a foote, which will hold up to light stuff, but not severe overriving.

cancel the motor mounts, after more measuring and playing with the motor i'm gonna make and weld a plate on to mount the motor.
i only plan to make this a limited class so hopefully this trans will last for awhile.i have another but its a foote too

that trans should hold up fine in limited class.
instead of making a new motor mount, you could just cut the mount of the other chassi you have and weld it onto your mower.
