Well thats a good question and there is really several reasons , the other mower has no hood for one thing so i would have to find a hood and i don't really like the looks of the hood for it.the real reason is the mower i'm building was originally bought by my father in law in 1975 or 6.been used and passed all around and somehow it ended up in my garage so the wife is somewhat, alittle bit into the project, with the other one it would be DOA.Plus i like the look of this one better.

Very good reasons....its ALWAYS best when the wife approves of you projects, even if its a semi approval.

when i was single i was into building up 4x4 trucks, now married and building atlm.i had a bolens 1250 that was given to me and got running and back together and it kinda gave me the bug for working on mowers, they are fun to work on cause they are alittle simpler and in the winter i can still have my truck in the garage and work on the mower.

i found the mounts for the motor so i don't have to cut up the other one, i may figure out a use for it yet.
