I have a go cart board I frequent (a bunch of tards at times) but I took the time to make a graphic of how to get self correcting steering since after 3 people explaining it, well, they weren't getting it. anyway, I thought you'd like to see what it would take to get self correcting steering. think about it like a caster, point of load has to lead the center of the tire, 10 degrees of spindle top bolt forward is the easiest way to get there. now ya know.

no your not a tard. I didn't mean if you don't get it your a tard, sometimes a bunch of 13-14 year olds take over a thread with nonesense and block up good info with odd chatter and lots of thread stealing etc. the gokarting forum world is ALOT of younger kids looking to get cheap and free parts to build a 200mph gocart.\ with no brakes... and etc...

you also don't have 2 pages of info to make it make perfect sense.. red line is the verticle centerline of the tire/wheel. blue line is where your spindle points should line up. IE, on a go cart spindle the pivot bolt. the red dots are where the load should be coming from that will make it work as its supposed to. IE, your bracket comes in from there.

My old go-kard had self-correcting steering - it was very neat and I just kinda took it for granted.

Just because you move up in a class doesn't mean that you'll "loose" the "race", it just means that you're building a better, more capable machine.
