6 speed Wheel Horse trans? only Wheel Horse trans ive seen was a 3 speed with reverse (garden tractor)...unless your talking about the new "light weight" lawn mowers that use peerless transaxles or footes...not sure which. Could you by chance get a pic of the type of trans you need? or an idea of what it looks like? (pic would be best)

In that case, i have a Wheel Horse that i would sale. It is NOT high/low range, just the standard 3 speed with reverse. It has an 8hp Kohler K series that does run. The engine will need a few small items (splug wire, points maybe, carb kit wouldnt hurt) The tractor itself will need a drive belt and a steering wheel. Everything is there, including the factory belt covers and i even have the deck for it, if wanted.

I am located in West Terre Haute, Indiana. The steering wheel ring was broken off the center bars, and only held on by the rubber coating, so i cut the ring off with the plan to replace the whole unit. Basically, it will need a steering wheel, and whats left of the old one will need to be cut off. As for a price, I know i can get $25 from the local puller guys for just the frame, it has a good 8hp K Series Kohler, the trans works perfectly, i have the deck and all the drive parts for it, and I have a new drive belt that will go with it. I would take $75 for everything, plus shipping(if thats how you want to do this).

I just mapquested it and it would be 5 hours, thats a little long for a drive, any chance you come around ohio anytime? I would love to have it, but im sure the shipping would be 2x the price of the tractor.. at least i think

Yes, shipping would be killer...its not light. The closest to Ohio i get, is Indianapolis, which is farther north. Let me talk to my mother and a friend or 2 and see if i can make for a little bit of a lesser trip. We may have to work something out for gas cost...(our truck is pretty easy on gas, but we're broke).
